Solicitor (Professional Indemnity)

As a newly qualified solicitor, you'll act as a key player in our expanding team, working with the main insurance companies and insured professionals on a diverse range of insurance matters. You'll engage directly with clients, manage complex professional negligence and Contractors All Risks claims, and gain hands-on experience with both pre-action and litigated cases. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your expertise in alternative dispute resolution and case management, while collaborating closely with experts and senior colleagues. Key Responsibilities
  • Regular interaction with clients, sharing your knowledge of key issues and providing meaningful advice and support.

  • A mixed workload of professional negligence claims involving a wide variety of professionals, plus an opportunity for involvement in Contractors All Risks claims.

  • Conduct both pre-action and litigated matters, providing real-time project support, as well as assisting more senior fee earners.

  • Direct engagement with experts and counsel, directing our work with both.

The Ideal Candidate

Due to our growth and the reshaping strategy, we welcome qualified solicitors with existing litigation experience, in any discipline. You will:

  • Have strong relationship and client handling skills, with the ability to confidently and professionally manage day-to-day issues.

  • Able to demonstrate a good level of self-sufficiency, balancing confidence with an awareness of own competence/authority.
  • Change oriented with a positive, flexible approach towards the implementation of new initiatives.
  • Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
  • Willingness to work hard as part of a highly ambitious and driven team to help it continue to develop and to achieve its objectives.
