Quality Auditor

Job Introduction

The CSG Quality Audit Team is a dedicated team of ten quality auditors, who carry out evaluations of files against a set criteria for clients. 

By regularly evaluating files, we can ensure a continual improvement in the service the firm offers. We can identify where further training may be required and ensure that corrective actions are taken to eliminate the cause and re-occurrence of non-conformities. All audits carried out by the team follow the same detailed process to ensure consistency and accuracy.

What you will do
 
The role will be to work closely with existing members of the team to undertake audits for CSG.   This entails:

  • Undertaking evaluations on matter files against agreed criteria
  • Accurately recording the results of the evaluations so that they can be collated into reports for feedback
  • Providing timely and comprehensive reporting, highlighting areas where criteria has not been met and identifying any trends and patterns in compliance levels
  • Co-ordinating audits, including creating the necessary documentation for the audit, dealing with the logistics and liaising with the client at the appropriate time
  • Hosting regular audit meetings with the rest of the team to monitor any issues
  • Generating final reports for the client and leading on feedback meetings to discuss the findings with them
  • Agreeing the appropriate corrective action and feeding this back for it to be monitored and followed up as appropriate.

The role requires:

  • A high level of objectivity in reviewing files against criteria
  • Using the firm's case management system
  • The ability to work from home, or from your closest CSG hub office. Occasional travel may be required for wider team hub days. 
 
Who you are 

This role may suit a paralegal, who is looking to broaden their experience within a law firm. Though it could also suite someone without legal experience, who wants to start / build their career within a large law firm. Regardless of your background, the key skills that we are looking for are:

  • Good IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office packages 
  • The ability to manage your own workload
  • A good team player who is supportive of others within the team 
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Focused and analytical
  • Previous knowledge of auditing is not required as full training will be given.
  • Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
