Job Introduction

Choosing where you start your career is one of the most important decisions you'll make.

At DAC Beachcroft, we know how important it is to give you a customised experience throughout your training contract.  Not only do we provide a tailored development programme, you'll also have support from our Learning & Development team and key Partners across the business.

Future leaders need a mix of technical and leadership skills, so our Training Contract route provides a blend of technical and personal development.  During the two-year programme, you will have the opportunity to work with market-leading professionals and clients across a range of sectors.  You'll gain early exposure to interesting and challenging work with support from highly experienced supervisors.

You'll have a comprehensive personal development plan created in collaboration with our dedicated learning and development team.  This is combined with access to an extensive range of technical, professional and personal development resources, including face-to-face workshops, blended, e-learning and on-the-job training.  Many of our Trainees also undertake secondments to clients as part of their development.

Our Trainees tell us that they enjoy the firm's collaborative working environment which reflects our cultural principles – supportive, creative, determined, and clear.  There are also many opportunities to network with other Trainees and other colleagues across our network, and to be part of wider firm projects and initiatives.

Role Responsibility

During your two year training contract, you will rotate to four different practice areas, spending six months in each area. For example, trainees are currently located in the following areas:

  • Clinical Risk
  • Corporate and Commercial
  • Corporate Finance
  • Commercial Litigation
  • Employment
  • Healthcare Regulatory
  • Professional Indemnity
  • Professional Negligence
  • Property Casualty
  • Real Estate

Seat availability is established on business need. Seats could be offered to trainees in any of our practice areas.

During each seat you will be supported by a supervisor who is responsible for your day to day development.  You will have regular reviews with your supervisor to set seat objectives and to discuss your progress

The Ideal Candidate

While academic qualifications are important, this is not the whole story.  We are looking for people with the energy and the drive to succeed, as well as commercial acumen and leadership potential.  You will be a lateral thinker who welcomes and values different perspectives.
