Solicitor/Associate – Complex Property - Birmingham

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

The “Complex Property” team is part of the wider “Property” service line, which in turn sits within the firm’s “Claims Solutions Group”. The team acts for a large number of insurer clients, undertaking some of their highest value, highest profile and most challenging work.

The work falls into three broad categories: (i) subrogated recovery claims (typically over £300,000); (ii) defendant public liability property damage claims; and (iii) policy coverage (some of which is advisory work). In short, the team deals with all manner of disputes and problems arising out of fires, floods, storms, escapes of water, escapes of oil, explosions, impact damage (basically any way in which a property might become damaged).

The team operates across four locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester. While the role is Birmingham based, we would also consider applicants based in or near to Bristol or Manchester.

As well as offering high levels of flexibility and a great work life balance, we offer a well-rounded remuneration package (which includes private medical insurance, income protection insurance and discounted gym membership, amongst many other benefits) alongside real opportunities for growth and progression. We actively encourage colleagues to make use of our professional funding scheme to complete legal or business qualifications relevant to your role.
