Solicitor/ Chartered Legal Executive - Casualty Injury - Birmingham/Flexible

Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint a Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive with around two years’ experience to join our Defendant Personal Injury team (Claims Solutions Group).   The successful candidate will join our market leading team focusing on sport, animals and pet claims who advise insurers and well known household names in their defence of claims of all values, types and complexity..  In addition to working on cases in these specialist areas, the successful candidate will work with the team Partner to develop these specialisms further.  This is a very unique opportunity for the right candidate to develop their litigation expertise into a number of very prominent and developing niche areas.  
 
While previous experience in sport, animals or pet claims is not a pre-requisite for this role, a keenness to work in at least one of these focus areas is important.  While the role itself is based in Birmingham, we would accept CVs from across England and Wales in light of our flexible working and location blind approach.

What you will do 
 
  • Effectively running the file to ensure deadlines are met and cases managed proactively to conclusion.
  • Ensure work is carried out effectively to meet the needs of the clients, the commercial requirements of the firm and the quality standards to include:
  • Adherence to internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocols.
  • Achievement of agreed financial targets.
  • Prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements.
  • Prompt and accurate provision of MI.
  • Devising a clear case strategy which is adhered to, ensuring cases are run smoothly and balance the commercial interests of both the Firm and the client.
  • Contribute to Business Development and client relationship activity in support of the Client Relationship Partner where required.  
Who you are 

  • A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with around 2 years litigation experience.
  • Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload and meet conflicting demands.
  • An ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues. High standard of written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to produce work to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail and concern for quality of service.
  • Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
