Sales/BD Leader - Corporate Insurance and Risk (CIR) Sales Team - Nationwide

Job Introduction

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Sales/BD Leader to join DACB’s Corporate Insurance and Risk (CIR) team reporting in to the Sales Director. We are looking for candidates nationwide on a full time basis.

CIR is a new division focused on delivering a full claims, liability and risk service to corporate clients including those with large deductible, self-insured retention or captive cell. Made of 80+ lawyers and claims professionals, the team acts for a number of global corporate clients and leading blue chip organisations across a variety of industry sectors.

We are looking to further develop and grow our business across our target corporate industries. Working alongside market leading legal talent, the successful candidate will be required to drive sales pipeline, develop new business opportunities and be also be part of the team responsible for client experience and relationship management.

What you will do 
 
The role will have a dual aspect to include a sales focus and client experience and relationship management. Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively lead the development of strong trading relationships with new clients, taking full ownership for the generation of leads to profitable business
  • Develop a robust pipeline of appropriate new business opportunities and ensure that long-term pipeline is realised through client engagement.
  • Client service and account management
  • Lead meetings, give presentations and draft tender responses
  • Provide the client with analysis and insight into our performance & relevant market trends
  • Provide information regarding case management programme maintenance, MI and analytics, performance review meetings, systems access and claims risk projects.
  • Supporting on our business development strategy and activity.
  • Representing CIR at conferences and client events
  • Continue to raise the profile and visibility of CIR, championing our chosen industry sectors and identify and pursue new industry sectors in partnership with the Sales Director
  • Work collaboratively to ensure that business targets and objectives are met.
 
Who you are 
 
Sales experience required but does not necessarily need to be from a law background, we encourage applicants from other industries/sectors not limited to but including insurance, brokers, TPA, who feel they can bring a unique approach to the role

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, including pipeline generation and relationship management.
  • Someone passionate about client service and connected in the corporate market
  • High level of sales, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Market knowledge across the sectors of retail, logistics, manufacturing and the public sector.
  • London Insurance Market, TPA claims management, or relevant industry experience is essential e.g. arranging claims handling services, appointing panel solicitors, etc.
  • Strong strategic and commercial awareness, coupled with industry and competitor knowledge, enabling you to develop winning strategies, viable/profitable offers and creative pricing ideas.
  • An understanding of sales theory and best practice, with experience of applying that to successfully defend and win clients.
  • Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills and the ability to adapt your style to different audiences and channels.
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of pitch presentation skills and best practice
  • Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
