Projects Lawyer

Job Introduction

We have an opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer (3+PQE or equivalent) to join our highly successful team; advising on large scale projects, including PFI/PPP, joint ventures and outsourcing, many of which are high profile. Our team advises both private and public clients across a number of sectors, with a particular emphasis on health, infrastructure, energy, education and defence. 

Client Base:

The team advises an impressive range of clients including government departments, major NHS teaching hospitals, private sector developers, contractors and FM providers.

We have been appointed to Tier 1 of the Crown Commercial Services legal panel framework since its inception, and at the end of 2018 we were appointed to the Crown Commercial Services Wider Public Sector Legal Services Panel.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including corporate, construction along with  technical and financial advisors.

Role Responsibility

Based in Bristol or London, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of challenging and innovative projects, which will involve a mix of commercial work including:

• Infrastructure projects: energy, health and defence
• Variations and operational contract management
• Long term CHP projects and other energy sustainability projects
• Managed equipment services contracts
• Large scale outsourcing, insourcing, joint ventures and health projects (including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and major strategic procurements)
• FM Contracts
• Advising on new contractual structures and joint contractual arrangements to deliver services.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in advising clients on a range of Public Private Partnerships, be familiar with the range of contractual models available and able to negotiate challenging and high profile deals. Experience advising both public and private sector clients in a private practice setting is desirable but not essential.
