Project Assistant Accountant/Project Accountant

Job Introduction

The Project Assistant Accountant or Project Accountant will support the "Technical Accounting and International" workstream of the Casablanca Programme, led by the Head of Finance Development in ensuring that the business is adequately prepared for the introduction of a new Practice Management System.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Head of Finance Development and the Technical Accounting and International workstream in ensuring that the business is adequately prepared for the introduction of a new Practice Management System
  • Work with the Head of Finance Development to ensure that the project runs to timetable and milestones are met
  • Liaise with other project members and core Finance staff to ensure delivery of objectives throughout the project
  • Provide training to users of the new system
  • Help prepare key documentation into the project
  • Handling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols
  • Ensuring that Accounting data is correct and ready for migration
  • Supporting the alignment of International accounting records where appropriate
  • Assisting in the design of new processes for the PMS
  • Assisting in the design of a future state PMS
  • Testing of the new PMS tool
  • Ensuring that all Group Reporting, Business Partnering and Tax data are ready for migration
  • Assisting on the management of the project financial reporting and budgetary control
  • Any other duties as assigned in relation to the project
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to other DAC Beachcroft offices

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) we will also consider non qualified candidates 
  • Have experience of dealing with large sets of financial data
  • Have experience of performing complex reconciliations
  • Knowledge of the Elite system would be a distinct advantage
  • The ability to speak Spanish or French would be a distinct advantage
  • A good level of excel skills
  • An excellent team player
