Partnership Accountant - Bristol

Job Introduction

The role of Partnership Accountant will report into the Head of Members' Finance and will be an integral role in the team responsible for managing the financial relationship between the partners and the firm.

The Members' Finance team is responsible for maintaining the financial records of all balances pertaining to the members, this includes the calculation of profit shares, distributions, drawings, capital balances, tax reserving and various other aspects of the financial relationship.

Role Responsibility

The Partnership Accountant will be responsible for

  • The accurate and timely reconciliation of monthly current accounts for all members
  • The production of drawings schedules for both the UK and overseas entities
  • The production of recharges schedules to allocate costs of the business to the members
  • The production of a monthly Statutory Accounts financial summary of the members interests
  • The production of interest calculations to/from members on various balances with the firm
  • Constant review and improvement of the processes followed
  • Ad-hoc analysis or cashflow predictions relating to Members' Finance
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  •  ACCA or ICAEW Qualified
  •  Experience in an accountancy practice
  •  Experience of complex reconciliations
  •  Experience of Foreign Exchange accounting
  •  Excellent written and oral presentational skills

Desirable:

  •  Experience of law firm or other partnership type businesses
  •  Understanding or income tax calculations
  •  Experience in multi-jurisdictional groups
  •  The ability to communicate in Spanish, Italian or French would be an advantage but is not essential
  •  Experience in improving processes to achieve faster and/or more accurate results
