Paralegal Apprentice LLP - multiple roles and locations

As a Paralegal Apprentice with DAC Beachcroft you will be on your way to a career in law and have a real alternative to university; you will earn a salary and have no university fees to pay. You will quickly learn how to work on live legal matters and have contact with clients. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end; your training will be carefully planned and you will work in a supportive team environment but will be doing a real job and contributing to the DAC Beachcroft business. As a paralegal apprentice you can expect to either be assisting lawyers with their matters or managing your own matters on less complex files, with close supervision.

Role Responsibility

With the required level of training and support, typical DACB paralegal apprentice tasks include liaising with clients and others; drafting documents, preparation and collation of correspondence, legal research, drafting applications and reports, assisting colleagues within the team with case management, being involved with the preparation of client training and general administration duties. Attention to detail and a proactive approach is crucial to comply with internal and external service level agreements, recording timely and accurate management information, handling confidential information in line with DACB data security protocols.

Additionally, you will have the equivalent of 20% of your weekly contracted hours to use towards your study, in order to focus on the educational side of your apprenticeship. This will include a mixture of interactive webinars and face to face study sessions. This apprenticeship will give you an excellent start to your career in law, to provide you with a foundation that could lead to higher level qualifications upon completion of your apprenticeship.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications Required

  • At least 3 A Levels at grade C and above totalling 96 UCAS points
  • Alongside 5 GCSEs at grade 4 including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications

Skills Required

  • Strong IT skills including word processing and email
  • Organisation skills
  • Effective communication skills - in writing and in person
  • Experience of Microsoft Office programmes desirable but not essential
