Intelligence Support Assistant - Birmingham

Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint an Intelligence Support Assistant to join our Claims Solutions Data Analytics and Intelligence Team in Birmingham. This is a great role for someone who has recently finished college or university and is looking to start an exciting career with a supportive team.

You will be responsible for adding value to the quality of DAC Beachcroft's intelligence database through inputting, cleansing and weeding information and providing support to the whole Intelligence team including administering the Intelligence Portal, Dataflag, data washing and routine searches.

Role Responsibility

  • Accurately entering and weeding data from a variety of sources into the bespoke i2 database
  • Utilising our i2 database to conduct initial checks and perform data washing
  • Converting documents from PDF and embedding them or elements of them onto the bespoke i2 database, linking key intelligence and documents
  • Grading intelligence according to its provenance
  • Determining which entities or information needs to be entered on to the database
  • Accurately collating schedules
  • Developing systems and procedures, alongside team members to improve recording and collection of data
  • Logging disbursement costs onto accounts system
  • You will be required to handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols
  • Cleansing data and identifying inconsistency or poor data quality to the Intelligence Support Supervisor
  • Administering intelligence systems such as Dataflag, the Intelligence Portal, etc.
  • Undertaking routine checks such as CUEs, DPAs, DVLAs, etc.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong administration skills
  • Experience of data entry and database manipulation
  • A minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English)
  • Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of, Excel, Word and strong keyboard skills
  • Confident with numbers with an outstanding attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy
  • A co-operative, but discreet team player who is able to work effectively within a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work
  • Proactive with a drive to succeed
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Exposure to i2 products, including iBase and Analyst's Notebook is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience within a law firm, or other professional services environment in either the public or private sector would be desirable but not essential.
