IT Infrastructure Cloud Team Leader - Bristol

DACBeachcroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Cloud Team Leader to join our IT Infrastructure team on a full-time, permanent, hybrid basis in our Bristol office. 

Reporting into the IT Infrastructure Manager, the main purpose of this role is to provide a single point of contact for all staff in relation to IT Infrastructure requirements, requests and incidents. The post holder will achieve this by leading the subject matter experts on a range of infrastructure technologies, as well as monitoring and maintaining the companies cloud infrastructure and providing 3rd line technical / cloud expertise on IT projects.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage and lead Infrastructure Cloud team staff, project and task assignments
  • Plan and prioritise work to ensure that deadlines and targets are met
  • Act as an escalation point for difficult or complex incidents, service requests and problems
  • Represent Infrastructure cloud team on the Change Advisory Board
  • Identify areas for improvement.  Recommend solutions based on the technical analysis of business requirements and follow defined best practise guidelines and frameworks E.g. ITIL
  • Assist IT management, business champions and IT architects regarding strategic infrastructure requirements, feasibility and project delivery
  • Review capacity requirements and manage capacity
  • Ensure that IT continuity plans, technology and tools safeguard data integrity, security and access
  • Implement new applications and systems as well as improving and maintaining existing systems
  • Providing 3rd line technical support for applications supporting Operations team
  • Manage monitoring and optimisation of cloud system performance including Azure sizing recommendations and implementation
  • Manage regular cost reporting for the Azure platform, making cost saving recommendations and ensuring best value for the firm.
  • Document and maintain configuration for the design, configuration, routines, processes and tools
  • Liaise with both technical and non-technical professionals to resolve issues
  • Documentation of all new systems and changes to existing systems
  • Ensure compliance with DAC Beachcroft's information security policies, standards and procedures in the day-to-day delivery of IT services
  • Support information security risk assessments within IT by making resources available where appropriate
  • Proactively identify and report security risks to the Information Security/Cyber team
  • Ensure that incidents are dealt with according to customer and priority needs
  • Understand the business and its objectives
  • Co-ordinate with teams within IT to ensure that service outages are correctly investigated and resolved
  • Work with the problem management team or other virtual teams as required
  • When required represent Infrastructure at team, department and supplier meetings
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills and keep up-to-date with new processes, procedures and developments
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols
  • Is also willing to take ownership on any other tasks and responsibilities required until complete

  • Complete one to one's, regular reviews and provide feedback
  • Acting as an escalation point for difficult or sensitive incidents and problems
  • Coaching and training members of staff to increase their skill
  • Producing statistics and management reports

  • Liaising with senior management
  • Liaising with change management

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ Years' experience in a cloud infrastructure role or similar
  • 3+ Years’ experience leading a cloud infrastructure team or similar
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and liaise and converse at all levels
  • Good inter-personal skills and the ability to work on own as well as a team player
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and see them through from conception to completion
  • Expert skills in backup and disaster recovery, DR strategy and cloud backup/recovery
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Azure platform
  • Expert skills in all aspects of Microsoft 365 & associated applications
  • Expert skills in all aspects of Microsoft Windows Server (all versions and editions)
  • Good skills in all aspects of VMWare and SAN technologies
  • Strong skills diagnosing and resolving client application, connectivity and hardware based incidents
  • Strong skills supporting Microsoft AAD, DNS and AVD
  • Strong skills in aspects of computer security (Antivirus, certificates, encryption, two factor authentication technologies, firewalls, proxy servers, IPS/IDS, Active Directory security)
  • Strong skills in all aspects of MECM
  • Good skills in all aspects of Microsoft InTune
  • Good skills in all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Good skills in all aspects of Microsoft Windows client, mobile device, and software deployment using MECM and InTune
  • Good skills in all aspects of printing including follow me printing solutions
  • Good understanding of infrastructure as code concepts and implementation
  • Basic Windows scripting skills (Desirable)
  • Legal industry exposure (Desirable)
  • Legal case management and document management systems experience (Desirable)

Qualifications

  • 5+ A – C GCSE's
  • 3 A Level or GNVQ
  • ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional Qualifications (Desirable)
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications
