Finance Systems Analyst x 2 - Bristol

Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint 2 Finance Systems Analysts to join their Finance team in Bristol.

Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, you will be responsible for triaging defects and configuration queries and requests and actioning updates to configuration and defect remediation to maintain integrity of the Finance System (3E) and the proprietary systems.  You will also be responsible for supplementing the BI analyst team with reporting development and delivery across the firm as well as supporting the Systems Accountant with month end closedown, balancing, reconciliation and reporting.

Role Responsibility

Responsibilities will include

Reporting:

  • Gathering reporting specifications from the business, identifying priority, core requirements, fields and timeframes
  • Designing and developing finance reports based on requirements, following the agreed design, test and deployment process
  • Remediating any defects that arise on existing reporting

System Account support:

  • Supporting the Systems Accountant in actioning the month end process
  • Actioning access requests including Xcelerate administration and prior period access
  • Supporting systems accountant in reporting and auditing

Configuration, Defects and Testing:

  • Responsible for the logging, investigation and remediation of defects that are raised relating to 3E and proprietary systems
  • Following configuration process to apply, test and promote signed off configuration requests
  • Supporting the testing of new software, system upgrades, IT infrastructure changes that impact finance
  • Responsible for the migration and validation of bulk updates relating to firm structure changes and new acquisitions.

Ensuring key administrative tasks are performed in a timely manner, these include (but not limited) to:

  • Timeload error resolution
  • Set up, maintenance and review of client rates in 3E and linked databases
  • Triage of queries received into the team

It is envisaged that the role will have active relationships with (but not limited to):

  • Other members of the Finance Systems team including the Systems Accountant, BI Analysts and System Analysts
  • Finance teams, especially Finance Operations
  • IT Teams, including Business Solutions, Service Desk and MI Team
  • Other Business Services teams including PG&R
  • Practice Management and Operation Management

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of Elite/3E beneficial but not necessary
  • Client (internal and external) focused to deliver a high standard of service
  • Must be highly organised with the ability to effectively manage a constantly changing workload under pressure, meeting demanding processing targets and adhering to service standards
  • Able to work unsupervised and on own initiative with a pro-active and flexible approach
  • High attention to detail along with excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages especially Excel and Word
