Early Talent Assistant

Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft are looking to appoint an Early Talent Assistant to join our Early Talent Team. 

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that are passionate about attracting and developing the very best apprentice and graduate talent. The team work closely with all of our wider HR functions making this the ideal role for someone looking to develop their broad generalist HR experience in a talent attraction and development role.  

The purpose of the role is to provide proactive support in relation to all elements of our Early Talent apprentice and graduate development programmes. This will involve supporting the planning and co-ordination of associated Early Talent activity including, school and university events, outreach activity, assessment days, onboarding, programme management and development support. This is a varied role in a collaborative team with a high emphasis on professional development - so plenty of scope to grow for the right candidate! 

You will be an integral part of the wider Learning and Development team working alongside the Early Talent Lead and Early Talent Advisor providing an experience that will continually evolve to ensure our Early Talent pipelines focus on the skills we need to continue to provide a bespoke market leading client service.

Role Responsibility

  • Acting as the first point of contact for prospective and current apprentices/trainees responding to queries via phone, email and  MS Teams.
  • Managing requests for work experience placements
  • Supporting internal and external communication activity including drafting content for multiple channels including socials (Instagram, X and LinkedIn)
  • Event management support including planning and coordinating development sessions, assessment days and outreach activity.​
  • Supporting the delivery of virtual and in-person Early Talent events - travel required on occasion
  • Placement rotation coordination
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes that will improve the Early Talent experience

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent organisational skills and high levels of attention to detail.
  • Great communication skills, the ability to influence and engage colleagues and key stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and confident managing own workload
  • Able to work autonomously and also as part of a team
  • Experience of working in a professional services or financial services environment is desirable but not necessary 
  • Enjoys working in collaborative environment and is comfortable sharing new ideas or new ways of working.
  • Passionate about the importance of nurturing an continuous improvement culture and a role model of the behaviours that foster high levels of engagement
  • The ability to work with and understand bespoke systems quickly
  • A good level of computer literacy including use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential.
