Data Analyst Apprentice

As an apprentice you will have the chance to learn how a legal business operates behind the scenes and develop a wealth of practical and transferrable skills to support your future career. You will need to have at least five GCSEs at A* to C grades, including Maths and English, as well as an interest in your chosen career area. You will also need to have strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and email. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end; your training will be carefully planned and you will work in a supportive team environment but will be doing a real job and contributing to the DAC Beachcroft business.

We are looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join our Marketing Operations and Intelligence team (MOI) is focussed on improving our underlying data for analysing our marketing and business development activities. Much of this relates to process and the need to harmonise and analyse multiple data sets to provide insight on our strategy. The team operates across all sectors at DAC Beachcroft and works with members across our Clients and Markets (C&M) team, with a particular focus on our client relationship management (CRM) and business development (BD) teams, and the wider firm (including IT and finance) to develop our approach and to provide insight for business decisions.

Additionally, you will have the equivalent of 20% of your weekly contracted hours to use towards your study, in order to focus on the educational side of your apprenticeship. This will include a mixture of interactive webinars and face to face study sessions. This apprenticeship will give you an excellent start to your career, to provide you with a foundation that could lead to higher level qualifications upon completion of your apprenticeship.

Role Responsibility

As Data Analyst Apprentice in the team, typical tasks will include:

  • Working with the Head of MOI and the MOI Manager to plan and execute a change management project to improve the automation of data across the team.
  • Support the development of data processes for the MOI team, liaising with team members to ensure that our data sets are kept up-to-date and catalogued appropriately.
  • Work with wider team members on discrete data requests to support their analysis for marketing and BD initiatives.
  • Support fee-earning teams in the completion of sector directory submissions and referee sheets, coordinating input across teams and thereafter analysing results for firmwide reporting.
  • Curate the content generated from the production of submissions within an established database and manage the distribution of this data to sector teams to be used within bids, business development, website and communications.

  • Strong IT skills including word processing and email

  • Experience of Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Excel
