Role Responsibility

We are a preferred legal services provider to the Cyber and Data Risk insurance industry which ensures a regular and growing flow of data breach and privacy litigation matters. The team typically acts as the first responder, coordinating the breach and forensic investigation alongside providing legal advice.

As an emerging area of law with increasing demand, there are few experts and many opportunities, meaning this is an ideal area for those seeking rapid career progression and development. We are committed to developing and promoting our internal talent.

As part of the Cyber and Data Risk team you will:

  • Have the opportunity to interact on a regular basis with clients. You will share your knowledge of key issues and provide meaningful advice to clients;
  • Have responsibility for leading on exciting and fast-paced breach notifications;
  • Operate at the cutting edge of this emerging area of law;
  • Operate with autonomy, but with the benefit of support and supervision from leading practitioners at all times;
  • Have opportunities to interact directly with clients on high-profile matters, often in the public domain, and build your own client base;
  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often making time pressured and critical decisions;
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment, both within the team, across the firm, and with clients.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for new colleagues who have experience in the Cyber and Data Risk area. The team suits self-starters with the ability to meet client demand in time-critical matters.

The wider team

The team sits as part of our wider Professional and Financial Lines group which, in addition to our Cyber and Data Risk work, provides expert legal advice to clients across an engaging mix of insured professional disciplines including Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, Directors and Officers, Warranty and Indemnity, and Construction. The group works collaboratively across these disciplines and, whilst everyone may have their area of particular expertise, we encourage cross-working so colleagues have genuine variety in their work. As such, if you are keen to undertake a mix of Professional and Financial Lines work, whilst also practising in Cyber and Data Risk, this may be an excellent opportunity for you.
