DAC Beachcroft is looking for a Paralegal to join our Corporate, Banking and Insolvency team in our Bristol office. This role is full-time and permanent, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.

Forming an integral part of an established team of 40 fee earners, the main purpose of this role is to provide an excellent standard of Paralegal support to the team (including those with senior management responsibilities) across the practice areas in Bristol and London.  

The Corporate, Banking and Insolvency team at DAC Beachcroft is a large team with a significant presence in our offices in Bristol and London. The Bristol and London teams work closely together to provide an excellent service for our clients. The main focus of the team's work is dealing with corporate contracts, bank loans for both the bank and the borrower. The work is very involved and engaging.

Our clients are discerning and expect a gold standard of service. We advise a number of in-house legal teams at global investment banks, asset managers and insurers as well as significant clients in the technology and leisure sectors. The team also services a high profile public sector client base, including major hospitals and commissioning bodies.

The team have a good track record of placing Paralegals onto training courses and are looking for someone who has that same ambition in their career. You will be given every opportunity to succeed within this team.

Role Responsibility

  • Providing a first class client-facing service, liaising positively with clients and their support staff over the phone, email and in person, and building relationships as appropriate
  • Accurate and timely preparation of correspondence, agreements and other documents
  • Amending documents, proof reading and creating comparisons to highlight changes
  • Preparing draft engagement letters
  • Opening and closing files
  • Liaising with counsel, other legal representatives and outside agencies (couriers, copiers etc)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent academics, including a 2.1 in Law from a reputable University
  • A can-do, proactive attitude to approaching new tasks and picking up work
  • The motivation to pursue a career in the Legal sector
  • High levels of attention to detail and good relationship building skills
  • Must work well within a team and high pressure environments
