Commercial Real Estate (Scottish Qualified, up to 3 years PQE)- Solicitor or Senior Solicitor, Glasgow

Job Introduction

This position is for a Scottish qualified Solicitor or Senior Solicitor (Up to 3 years PQE) in the nationwide commercial real estate team. 

Our Scottish real estate teams cover every aspect of transactional and contentious commercial real estate work, particularly telecoms, development, investment, asset management and landlord/tenant work.  Clients include telecoms operators, property management and development companies, government bodies (local and central), and lending institutions, both in the UK and overseas. 

Role Responsibility

The role will be geared towards Scottish real estate transactional work in the telecoms sector, primarily supporting our Scottish transactional real estate team on running large-scale projects, dealing with the majority of day to day asset management work and assisting on more complex investment and development transactions. 

A knowledge of Scottish property law and/or experience of working in a real estate environment, particularly any experience in telecoms work and/or rural property work, is therefore preferred.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A knowledge of Scottish property law and/or experience of working in a real estate environment, particularly any experience in telecoms work and/or rural/complex title work, is advantageous.
  • Good organisational skills with experience in project managing a varied caseload of matters and procedures.  Able to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads and meet conflicting demands on time in sensitive and/or complex matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to produce work to a high standard and assume responsibility for quality control on your own caseload, including accuracy of drafting work and the employment of effective time management tools.
  • Records time accurately and appropriately and demonstrates good financial management, including exercising full compliance with protocols on billing and credit control. 
  • Should be IT literate, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  Previous knowledge or experience of a case management system would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training is provided.
