Claims Administrator

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Claims Administrator to join our Professional and Commercial Risk Team in Bristol.

The Claims Administrator will work as part of a small team of experienced Administrators and will be responsible for the full claims administration process, assisting the Claim Handlers, setting up new cases, reporting and archiving.

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 9.00-5.00 (35 hours)

The ideal candidate will have previous office based experience in a similar role and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Word, Excel and Outlook

The Claims Administrator will be someone who provides support for the team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the administrative department while demonstrating a high level of quality and accuracy at all times.

Providing assistance with all ad hoc administrative tasks where required to support the team / department. Being a team player and also able to work unsupervised and off your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

The Claims Administration Team provides support and works closely with the Claims Handlers to ensure the smooth running of the department and excellent customer service is maintained.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Case opening from a dedicated mail inbox
  • Checking of conflicts, maintain accurate management and client information on an ongoing basis,
  • Conduct billing administration and post completion
  •  Generate monthly reporting on cases to maintain the company standards

The Ideal Candidate

  •  Previous experience in an administrative role in an office based environment is essential, preferably within professional services
  • IT literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, database systems and good keyboard skills are necessary
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum C grade passes in Maths and English
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, has a concern for accuracy and an eye for detail
  •  Customer service oriented and ensures quality is key.
  • Prioritise own workload
  • Be able to work to deadlines, and contribute and support others as part of a team effort
  •  Actively seeking guidance and input from others where appropriate
  • Confident in oral and written communication
