Claims Administrator - 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

Job Introduction

Our Professional and Commercial Risk team advise insurers and professional organisations when they are faced with the threat of a professional negligence claim. They act on numerous high value and sensitive claims for clients throughout the UK including solicitors, surveyors, accountants, brokers, engineers, architects and their insurers. The team includes a market leading claims handling team who handle several thousand professional indemnity claims on an outsourced basis on behalf of London Market Insurers.

Role Responsibility

The Claims Administration Team provides support and works closely with the Claims Handlers to ensure the smooth running of the department and excellent customer service is maintained.

Your key responsibilities will include;

• Case opening from a dedicated mail inbox
• Checking of conflicts
• Maintain accurate management and client information on an ongoing basis
• Conduct billing administration
• Conduct post completion
• Generate monthly reporting on cases to maintain the company standards

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous office based experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• Quick at learning in-house systems and adaptable in a changing environment.
• An individual who is enthusiastic, flexible, has a concern for accuracy and an eye for detail
• Customer service oriented and ensures quality is key.
• Able to prioritise your own workload, be able to work to deadlines, and contribute and support others as part of a team effort
• Actively seeking guidance and input from others where appropriate and confident in oral and written communication
• Previous experience in an administrative role in an office based environment is essential, preferably within professional services
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum C grade passes in Maths and English
